June, the month of water, grass and flowers. The herds are in the mountains, ready to go up to the mountain pastures following the fresh grass. Around the villages, it is time for haymaking.
At high altitudes, the national park is full of flowers and you can walk on the last snowdrifts.
In the forest, the pastoral tracks allow for quiet bike rides.
On the Isère river you can practice white water sports,
The mythical high passes are open: you can catch the spring at the foot of the snow walls: Roselend, L'Iseran, le petit St Bernard, la Madeleine: beautiful excursions around Peisey-Vallandry.

The summer season starts here on 18 June. But the mountain is welcoming from the beginning of the month and many shops are already open!
