Peisey-Vallandry is located at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park. It is the ideal location to immerse yourself in the heart of a natural and mineral paradise. You can follow in the footsteps of the local wildlife. This is an outdoor activity also available in bad weather, when skiing sessions turn into whiteout days. An unforgettable experience! Another highlight to discover on the site is the mining history of the valley, with the Palais de la Mine, which housed student engineers during their training at the French School of Mines, once established there (1802–1814).

Unpredictable weather, but the Nordic way is always fun! You can strap on snowshoes and explore a wild, snowy nature. Numerous marked trails are available around Peisey-Vallandry as well as on the Nordic site. Why not take a walk with some four-legged friends?! A sled dog ride offers a contemplative activity and a moment of sharing with these proud snow dogs. You can also choose to wander through the valley accompanied by reindeer, a Peisey-Vallandry exclusive. Surrounded by forests and meadows covered with fresh snowflakes... Fantastic!

When the weather turns bad, you can also take the opportunity to explore the surroundings. Numerous villages and hamlets make up Peisey-Vallandry, each worthy of discovery. Why not explore the village of Peisey and its listed baroque church: the Church of Sainte-Trinité? Wander through the alleys and stop at a local café. The Bistrot de la Poste, for instance, opened in the summer of 2024 and welcomes you throughout the season. A place that beats at the heart of the village and invites you to experience the unique spirit of the region. The chapels are also worth a visit, offering shelter while opening up a historical and religious perspective. For example, the Sainte-Agathe chapel awaits you near Moulins.
Is the weather preventing you from hitting the slopes? Perhaps it's the perfect time for a refreshing splash in one of the resort's pools! A great way to stay active with an indoor, sporty option. And what could be more enjoyable than retreating into a comforting aquatic cocoon to benefit from the relaxing effects of water?! The pools in the hotels or residences offer an excellent opportunity for active relaxation, sheltered from the elements outside. A little bonus: some of them offer exceptional mountain views.

It's a chance to challenge your friends or family, or simply enjoy the thrill of speed. And often, you'll end up face-first in the snow… and smiling from ear to ear. A fun activity that's easy to do, even in bad weather! The only rule: be well-equipped, prepared to face the elements, and get ready for a blast... in every sense of the word.

If the weather turns stormy, you can also head for the narrow streets of the resort! A variety of shops, clothing, sports items, local products, craftsmanship, and more. Plenty of opportunities for a little shopping session just the way we like it. Epicureans and the hungriest will also be able to choose a hearty Savoyard meal at one of the resort's restaurants. Raclette, fondue, tartiflette... all the mountain specials in a delightful setting. A great way to recharge and warm up on a grey day, combining cold and humidity.
The resort has its own cinema: l'Éterlou. It offers various screenings throughout the winter. And, the cherry on the cake: an additional screening is scheduled in case of unpredictable weather. Ideal for getting warm and enjoying the magic of the dark rooms... for a cultural and entertaining moment away from the storms!

The Tourism Office works throughout the season to create a rich and varied activity programme. Fully aware of the unpredictable weather that can sometimes be part of the experience, the animation team has plenty of tricks up its sleeve when it comes to setting up indoor activities or those in areas less exposed to the whims of bad weather. They will find a solution and offer you an alternative to suit your taste!

Arc 1800 is located in close proximity to Peisey-Vallandry. The connection is easy with a free shuttle running regularly throughout the winter. On days when the weather turns, you can hop over to the neighbouring resort. Our tip? The bowling alley! Perfect for testing your skills and challenging your friends by hitting strikes! Pure fun, with friends or family, no matter your skill level. And that’s not all ! Pool tables and other arcade games are also available, expanding the possibilities even further. Nothing better for a fun afternoon full of challenges and laughter.
