Children's geology "Les Petits Mineurs": special children's activity in the form of a geological walk, workshops and visit to the mining site
Cultural activitiesIntroduction to geology suitable for children. It is equipped with geologist hammers, that your children will collect different rocks in order to identify them and prepare their own exhibition. During this geological stroll, they will visit part of the old silver-lead mine site, notably a gallery and the Palais de la Mine (french school of mining engineer from 1802 to 1814). It will be an opportunity to discover the extraction and processing technologies of the ore exploited on site from the 17th to the 19th century: the different stages from ore to metal.
Outdoor activity, which can be postponed in case of bad weather. Children are looked after for 3 hours, supervision being provided by Chantal Harvey, Mountain Guide and Mont Blanc Savoie Heritage Guide.
