How to get to Peisey-Vallandry?
Peisey-Vallandry is easily accessible regardless of your mode of transport. Whether travelling by car, train or plane, there are several options available to reach the resort and make the most of your stay.
Coming by car
From Chambéry or Grenoble, take the A43 motorway to Albertville, then the RN90 expressway towards Bourg Saint Maurice to Landry. Continue on the D87 and D226 departmental roads to Peisey-Vallandry for about 10 km.
PLEASE NOTE: Special equipment is mandatory in winter.
Free parking is available at the entrance to the resort and a free shuttle bus serves the various neighbourhoods during the winter.
Arriving by train
The nearest station is Landry (the stop just after Aime-la-Plagne and just before Bourg Saint Maurice). It is located 10 km from Peisey-Vallandry.
From Landry station, there are two ways to reach the villages and the resort:
- By shuttle bus: a regular Altibus service runs only in winter, by reservation. In addition, inter-village shuttle buses operate in both summer and winter to make it easier for you to get around. Information and bookings at: www.altibus.com

- By taxi or private hire vehicle: Several taxis in Peisey-Vallandry are available and can take you from Landry station to your accommodation. See the list here
Arriving by plane
There are several international airports near Peisey-Vallandry. They allow you to arrive quickly in the region, then reach the resort by train, bus, shuttle or taxi.
- Chambéry – Savoie Mont Blanc (approx. 110 km / 1 hour 45 minutes by road)
The closest airport to the resort, mainly served in winter by seasonal flights from many European cities.
- Grenoble – Alpes Isère (approx. 180 km / 2 hours 15 minutes by road)
Mainly served in winter by charter and scheduled flights from Europe. Coach transfer services are available.
- Geneva – Cointrin (approx. 190 km / 2 hours 30 minutes by road)
An international airport with a wide range of flights throughout the year. Bus or shuttle transfers are available directly to Bourg-Saint-Maurice or Landry.
- Lyon – Saint-Exupéry (approx. 200 km / 2 hours 30 minutes by road)
One of the best-served airports in the region, with numerous domestic and international flights. A TGV station is integrated into the airport, allowing you to reach Chambéry, Albertville or Bourg-Saint-Maurice by train.
Transfers to the resort
- Bus: Companies such as Altibus offer regular services from Geneva, Lyon, Chambéry and Grenoble airports to the Tarentaise (Bourg-Saint-Maurice or Landry), then on to Peisey-Vallandry.
- Train: From Geneva or Lyon, you can also reach Landry or Bourg-Saint-Maurice station by train, then continue by shuttle bus or taxi to the resort.

Once you arrive in Peisey-Vallandry, there are several convenient and comfortable modes of transport that allow you to get around the resort and its surroundings with ease.

A shuttle service with three routes allows you to get around the resort and its surroundings with ease. Detailed timetables and routes are available online and at the tourist office.

Local taxis and private hire vehicles provide transfers from Landry and Bourg-Saint-Maurice stations or directly from your accommodation.

The Lonzagne Télévillage
A true symbol of the resort, the Lonzagne cable car (also known as the télébenne) connects the village of Peisey-Nancroix (Le Villaret) to Plan-Peisey in just 7 minutes, free of charge.
This cable car operates in both summer and winter and also provides direct access to the Vanoise Express, the link to Les Arcs and La Plagne.
