The Nordic domain
A natural setting for a different kind of winter experience
Nestled on the Rosuel plateau, at the foot of the peaks of the Vanoise National Park, the Peisey-Vallandry Nordic Domain is a true natural gem. From the picturesque hamlet of Pont Baudin, the trails stretch to the bottom of the valley, passing through silent forests, snow-covered glades and vast alpine panoramas.
A playground for all levels
- 13 cross-country ski trails, ranging from green (easy) to black (difficult), totalling approximately 43 km of skiing.
- Equipment for classic (alternative) and skating styles, divided into loops of 500 m to 7 km.
- Approved biathlon stadium with a permanent shooting range, dedicated to both beginners and competition.
Much more than skiing
The resort offers a wide range of activities:
- Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking
- Ice climbing, rock climbing, sledging and orienteering (winter trails)
- Original activities: igloo building, musical walks, wildlife watching, etc.
Comfort and services on site
Everything is provided to make your day enjoyable and stress-free. You will find equipment hire (skis, snowshoes, sledging), a first aid station for your safety, and a friendly picnic room with a fireplace to warm up.
There are also dining areas where you can enjoy a meal or a hot chocolate while admiring the breathtaking view of the mountains.
Between heritage and wildlife
The estate also offers a window onto the valley's history and biodiversity. Along the way, you may spot ibex, chamois or bearded vultures. Binoculars are recommended for admiring these species in their natural habitat.
In terms of heritage, the valley is home to typical summer mountain huts, as well as the Palais de la Mine, a remnant of the former 17th-century silver mines. In winter, these treasures can be discovered in a magical setting, at a leisurely pace on foot or skis.
Summer at the Nordic Domain
When the snow gives way to flower-filled mountain pastures, the Rosuel plateau reveals a whole new side to itself. The ski slopes become hiking trails and mountain bike routes leading to exceptional panoramic views at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park.
In summer, the resort also offers summer biathlon, a fun and accessible discipline that combines laser rifle shooting with running or mountain biking. Guided by instructors, beginners and experienced participants alike can learn or improve their skills in this activity that combines precision and endurance.
Here, you can get away from it all all year round, whether in the snow or under the sun.
An easily accessible site
Located just a 10-minute drive from the centre of Peisey-Vallandry and 20 minutes from Landry, the site is connected by a regular free shuttle service, making it easy to access even without a vehicle.
The Pont Baudin car park provides convenient parking before you put on your skis or mountain bikes.
