Explore the valley accompanied by our donkeys! Whether with family or friends, enjoy self-guided walks along marked trails suitable for all ability levels. Our donkeys can carry your children (depending on age and weight) as well as your backpacks, making for a more comfortable hike.
Before setting off, we will show you how to lead your donkey and explain the chosen route.

Walks lasting 1.5 to 4 hours – Several routes are available starting from the hamlet of Les Lanches:
- Blue Route – 1.5 hours (easy): Les Lanches > La Culaz
- Orange Route – 2.5 hours (easy): Les Lanches > La Gurraz
- Yellow Route – 2.5 hours (strenuous): Les Lanches > L'Épinerie
- 2.5-hour Route + Picnic – 4 hours
- Les Esserts Route – 4 hours (easy)
- Discovery Trail Route – 4 hours (strenuous)

2- to 6-day hikes with overnight stays in mountain huts:
For experienced hikers, we offer multi-day itineraries with overnight stays in mountain huts. Our donkeys will carry your packs and can also transport your children, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the magnificent landscapes of Vanoise National Park.
Several routes are available starting from Les Lanches:
- Entre le Lac Hut – 2 days
- Col du Palet Hut – 3 days
- Plaisance Hut – 3 days
- Tour of the Vallaisonnay – 5 to 6 days
Departures are subject to favorable weather conditions. You are responsible for booking your own meals and overnight stays at the mountain huts.
A mandatory one-hour preparation session takes place the day before departure. You will learn how to prepare your donkey (brushing, hoof cleaning, and fitting the packsaddle) and how to handle the animal safely, and you will receive full details regarding your route. Saddlebags are provided for carrying your gear.
These hikes are self-guided (without a leader) and are intended for experienced hikers with children aged 5 and up.
After your hike, stop by our brand-new refreshment and souvenir shop to enjoy a cold drink and pick up a lovely holiday memento!
