Gaec Alpin producer of Beaufort cheese
GAEC ALPIN is the result of the merger, in 2006, of two local family farms: Vallon des Rossets GAEC & EARL Croix Bozon.
The farm has 170 dairy cows and 150 heifers of the Tarentaise breed, with a cheese processing activity all year round. Located in the Beaufort PDO area, the milk is mainly processed into winter Beaufort (at La Chenarie) and mountain chalet Beaufort (at the Rossets and Entre-deux-Nants mountain pastures, in summer). Another part is used to make farmhouse tomme and raclette.
In winter, visits of the farm are organised with the Tourist Office, every Tuesday at 5pm.
