Marie-Odile, mountain guide, offers family hikes to discover the emblematic species of the Vanoise National Park, in an approach that respects nature and biodiversity.

The famous Alpine ibex, bearded vultures, marmots, chamois, mountain hares, foxes, or stoats might be there!

A rich birdlife (numerous bird species) can also be observed or heard as the vegetation changes: from the Golden Eagle—the marmots' main predator—to the Northern Wheatear, constantly on the move from one perch to another.

Marie-Odile will share her knowledge of the specific adaptations of wildlife, its different habitats and diets throughout the year; its relationship with humans and pastoralism; and the description of several plant species associated with numerous insects.

Meeting point: 8:50 a.m., Vanoise National Park office, Rosuel refuge.
Groups of 6 to 12 people.
Hikes in the commune of Peisey-Nancroix – 7 hours (frequent stops) – Elevation gain: 400/600m.
Midday break: picnic (bring your own) and relaxation.
Please bring: good walking shoes, backpack, picnic lunch, snacks, water (1L per person), hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, binoculars are a plus. Magnifying glasses will be provided. Enjoy some Génépi liqueur!
